How to survive - part 2 - countryside and small town & drinks

Try to keep close to somebody who speaks both Polish and English. That is a first thing to be done. Not a chance? Get yourself a good, pocketsize dictionary.
You will find places mentioned before in this course. Read through lessons 1, 2 and 3 again.
WOLNE POKOJE = POKOJE DO WYNAJECIA,
OBIADY DOMOWE - homemade, cooked dinner,
BAR usually has a name:

BAR JAGODKA (Berry),
BAR POD SOSENKA (pine tree),
BAR U TOMKA
(Tom's),
name is not too important, more important is to remember that BAR at the countryside has similar function to pub in the city, so although it does serve food and drink, it is also a meeting place of the local society. If you are a couple or a bigger group, or elderly, or travelling with kids probably you will be a nice attraction.
Remember, Poles are very hospitable, especially to foreigners and they are tollerant as well. But as most of the country is catholic, remember also that showing affection to the person of the same gender might not be welcomed with understanding. Just bare in mind - if you are two gays or two lesbians, try not to kiss or hold your hands in public for your own safety, not that you will be beaten up straight away, but the atmosphere could not be as friendly as it was, you might be refused service etc.

Summary: read again lessons 1,2 & 3,
