About Habakuk Band exists since 1990. They described their music as a mix of different styles - roots, rock, reggae, dub. Up to date Habakuk released five official albums which are very poular in their home country. The first one "Mniam, mniam rege" that came out in 1998 had a great impact on Polish reggae scene and received excellent reviews from the biggest music magazines. "Machina" wrote: 'Unique, energetic and natural ability to compose... catching hits. In short it's the revelation of the season. Habakuk fulfills all requirements to become the ruler of the Polish reggae scene. And all because of this album'. After the second album "Rub Pulse" was released magazines praised this album for its energy and ingenuity. 'Habakuk's artistic activity is maintained in the spirit of reggae music'. Rub Pulse consists of new songs and jungle versions of some of Habakuk's older tunes. The third album called "Muzyka Slowo Liczba Kolor" was released in 2002 followed by "Hub a Dub" containing dub remixes of Habakuk's songs. Last album "4 Life" has been called the most important reggae record on Polish reggae scene in last 5 years. Currently Habakuk is working on a new record containing covers of legendary songs of late Polish poet Jacek Kaczmarski. Habakuk supported such artists as Zion Train, Junior Delgado, Dub Syndicate, Mad Proffessor, Mikey Dread, The Skatalites and many others. The band played over 400 gigs in Poland, including shows in small and big venues and was the headliner at some of the biggest Polish festivals ("Przystanek Woodstock", "Reggae Dub Festival").
