The Palace in Wilanów belongs to those few places of interest in Warsaw, which remained in its intact form from the period of the Second World War. Situated slightly off the main track, Wilanów remained almost intact and today you can admire this wonderful baroque royal residence. The history of the Palace began on April 23, 1677, when a village became the property of King John Sobieski III.
The grand opening of the ms2 – the new Muzeum’s spaces on the grounds of Manufaktura will be held on 20th-22nd of November 2008. After years of waiting filled with attempts of subsequent directors, the exceptional collection of 20th and 21st century art will be displayed in the conditions that correspond to its significance and value. It will also be possible to develop Muzeum's activity in terms of responding to the challenges which museum institutions are facing contemporarily. One of the most unique collections of art in Europe, entitled Collection of 20th and 21st Century Art, will be presented from a new perspective, in unconventional way and in much larger scale than in the previuos buiding. Moreover the international temporal exhibition confronting works of two significant avant-garde artists – Katarzyna Kobro and Lygia Clark – will be opened. The schedule includes also a range of other events.

The International Festival of Photography in Lodz is the biggest event of this kind in Poland. It is organized by Foundation of Visual Education and Lodz Art Center, located in a complex of 19th century factories. Every year in May over 50. exhibitions are presented. The programme is always enriched by meetings, auction, workshops, publications, slide-shows and portfolio reviews.
Bolimów is a place with old pottery traditions. The first mention of the pottery workshop gets as far as 1812. Till the I World War a pottery guild operated here with dozen or so members.
In the 14th c. on the left bank of the Prosna river the king Casmir the Great erected a castle which replaced the previous seat of Duke of Kalisz - Boleslaw Pobozny (Devout). The castle was to play a role of the border fortress protecting the Wielkopolska Region from the side of Silesia. Tumultuous lot of the 13-year war brought about its decline. A 22-metre high octagonal tower and fragments of walls built from Gothic brick and fieldstones can be visited. How to get there:
